Our selection of pencil dresses are all inspired by fashion from 1950er og 1960s, but the same for all our pencil dresses is that they are of course tailored to our modern needs, so they are comfortable to wear and easy to move in. Denmark's best selection of high-end retro dresses
Granted. It is a bit charged and subjective when we claim that we have Denmark's best selection of high-end dresses in the retro style, but even though the announcement is subjective, it can easily be true anyway.
Whatever type you are, you should be able to find at least a dozen high end dresses that are just right for you! We have a really large selection, which contains great variety in terms of style, color, prints and price.
We even have a good selection of plus size retro dresses. We have all our dresses in minimum xl, most in 2xl but very many we also have in 3xl, 4xl and even 5xl. This is because our dress models are dressable for just about all sizes as well as shapes.

Why do we call our dresses "Vintage" & "Retro"?
As you may have noticed, we use both the terms 'vintage' and 'retro' for our dresses, but is there really a difference between a vintage and a retro dress?
It is actually there, however, there is not a clear definition, so we will here try to give ours.
Vintage refers to clothing produced in about the year 1920 and up to 1980 - this can be homemade or in small or large productions. Since our dresses are not produced during this time period, we describe the dresses as "vintage inspired", as that is exactly what they are. They are inspired by the fashion of the decades 1940, 1950 og 1960.
The term Retro came into being in the 1960s and refers to something from "the past" - and since our dresses are just inspired by the fashion from 1940, 1950 and 1960, we also describe them as Retro dresses.
Actually, there is the term "Repro", which is probably the term that best describes our dresses, as repro comes from "reproduced" - ie dresses that have been produced again.
However, we know that not many of our customers use the term Repro, but instead describe our dresses as "Retro dresses" or "Vintage dresses" and therefore we have chosen to do the same.

A retro dress can easily be combined with shoes with a modern look. In fact, something beautiful, exciting and interesting can actually emerge in the dynamics between the dress's stylish vintage style and a pair of brand new, modern shoes or stilettos.
