This customer portrait is part of a series of mini-blogs where we have interviewed some of our wonderful #mondoladies, based on their use of just #mondolady and #mondokaos on Instagram ❤️
This second portrait is by the wonderful author, lecturer and colorful dress lover Stinemaria Mollie Jensen.
Stinemaria Mollie is 45 years old and lives in Hvidovre. She is the mother of Mads at almost 20 and Liv at 15, and married to Lars. Stinemaria works as a writer and lecturer, where she articulates the concept of sensitivity and the sensitive human being. She is currently completing a new book about traveling as a sensitive person - when we did the interview she was just on her way to Venice to put the finishing touches on the book. Stinemaria was so sweet to show us a sneak peak of the front and back of the book, and to our surprise, both the front and back are adorned with beautiful pictures of Stinemaria dressed in Mondo Kaos dresses in Venice! We were very happy and honored and we can not wait for the book to come out so we can learn a lot more about both Stinemaria and Venice!

Stinemaria's interest in dresses started a couple of years ago, when she was learning Mondo Kaos to know. She does not remember if it was a friend who recommended her to the store or she had seen a post on Facbook, but one day she got lost in the store and was captivated by the colorful universe of swing dresses and petticoats. Before Stinemaria visited Mondo Kaos she was not a dress girl and she told us that in her childhood she was the only girl in her yard and therefore had to fight with the boys to also be allowed to play robber or Robin Hood when they played because she did not care always having to be the princess in the tower just because she was a girl.
However, she has always been very fascinated by the classic Hollywood movies that were shown on television when she was a child, and the elegant clothes worn by actresses like Marilyn Monroe and Lana Turner. It just did not feel really like her until one day in 2016 she suddenly had to wear a dress for a holiday, and so got lost down to us in Mondo Kaos, and she has not looked back since!

Today, Stinemaria often wears dresses, both for everyday and when she is out lecturing, and she prefers colorful, waist-cut swing dresses where she can wear a petticoat underneath because it makes her happy. When we had to take pictures of her in connection. interviewed, it was also two 1950s-inspired swing dresses that immediately came into the rehearsal room after we asked which of our new fall styles she liked and would like to try.
The first dress Stinemaria tried was a new version of her favorite dress model, Doloresmodel from Unique Vintage, which we have just gotten into a beautiful, dark purple color that looked really nice to Stinemaria's hair color and skin tone! It is a classic waist-cut swing dress with elbow-long sleeves, a draped sweetheart neckline and a full swing skirt, made of a soft, breathable material with stretch that gives a really good fit! With black socks and black pumps, Stinemaria creates a formal retro look for everyday life!
The other dress Stinemaria tried on was the beautiful D'Laine dress from Very Cherry in teal / petroleum color. Stinemaria loved the color that made her eyes light up even more, and the lovely swing skirt where there was room for her petticoat underneath!
When Stinemaria is shopping, she is always very aware of what material the clothes are made of, because she is very material-sensitive, and she also always has in mind that she has an active everyday life and that her dresses should be practical and to move. therefore, it is important for Stinemaria that her dresses are made of a comfortable, soft and stretchy material that makes her feel comfortable, whether she has eaten extra well over the weekend or not, that they have pockets, so she is not addicted to a bag and that they have swing skirts so she can move and dance - with or without a petticoat!
Thank you so much for letting us interview you, Stinemaria! We look forward to seeing you again! If you want to get to know Stinemaria and her universe better, you can follow her on Instagram HERE!
Read on in the next few weeks, where you can meet more of our Mondo Ladies - and if you use #mondokaos and #mondolady yourself, then we may also write to you one day, to ask if we can write one portrait of you!
Kind regards, Team Mondo Kaos
